A Las Vegas Locksmith That Keeps Vegas Hours
Las Vegas does not really close, and neither do the problems that leave someone standing outside their own front door. A key snaps off in a deadbolt on a July afternoon. A car key gets left on the seat in a parking structure off the Strip. A tenant moves out of a Spring Valley rental and nobody knows how many copies are still floating around. Shark City Locksmith Las Vegas is the mobile locksmith Las Vegas, NV residents call when one of those days arrives.
We are a locally owned locksmith company covering the Las Vegas Valley, and we take residential, commercial, automotive and emergency lock and key work out of stocked mobile vans. That includes car key replacement, key fob programming, transponder and ignition key trouble, key duplication, rekeys, lock changes and master key systems for businesses. Call (702) 213-9118 and tell us what you are locked out of.
Locksmith Services for Homes, Businesses and Vehicles in Las Vegas
One Call Covers the Whole Valley
Residential Locksmith Services
Most home calls we take in Las Vegas land in one of three places: someone is locked out, someone has just been handed the keys to a new place, or a lock has stopped behaving. We open house lockouts without damaging the door wherever the hardware allows it, rekey Schlage and Kwikset cylinders so old keys stop working, change worn or broken locks, install deadbolts, and set up smart locks and keypad entry for households tired of hiding a spare under a rock. If you have just closed on a home in Summerlin or Enterprise, rekeying every exterior door is the shortest way to know exactly who holds a key.
Commercial Locksmith Services
Businesses in Las Vegas turn over staff quickly, and every departure is a key that may not have come back. Our commercial work covers master key systems that let a manager open every door while staff keep access only to their own areas, commercial rekeys after turnover, high security cylinders that resist casual copying, storefront and office lock repair, and exit and panic hardware service. Requirements for exit devices depend on occupancy, door use and local rules, so we walk the doors with you and point out what should be confirmed with the proper local authority before anything gets ordered.
Emergency Locksmith Services
Lockouts do not schedule themselves. We take emergency locksmith calls in Las Vegas 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for house lockouts, car lockouts, office lockouts, keys broken off inside a cylinder, and locks that failed after someone tried to force them. When you call, say where you are, what is locked, and whether a child or a pet is shut inside a vehicle, because that changes who we send and what goes on the van.
Automotive Locksmith Services
A dealership is not the only place that can cut and program a modern car key, and it is rarely the easiest option when the car is sitting in a parking garage. Our automotive locksmiths open locked vehicles, cut and program transponder chip keys, replace and program key fobs and remotes, pull keys that snapped off in a door or an ignition, and work on ignition cylinders that stick or will not turn. We carry blanks and programming equipment for common makes including Toyota, Honda, Ford, Nissan, Chevrolet and BMW, and we drive to the car instead of asking you to tow it.
Car Key Replacement and Key Duplication
Losing the only key to a vehicle is not the day-ender it looks like. We make replacement car keys on site, including transponder chip keys, proximity and push to start smart keys, and standard cut keys for older vehicles, then program them to the car so they actually start it. We also duplicate keys on the spot, both vehicle keys and house keys, and a spare cut today saves a much longer call later.
Where We Work in the Las Vegas Valley
Shark City Locksmith Las Vegas runs as a mobile service out of the west side of the valley, so there is no counter to drive to and no waiting room. Our technicians work from stocked vans and meet you at the house, the office, or the parking lot where the car is sitting. These are the areas we cover most often.
What Happens After You Call Us
Tell us three things when you call (702) 213-9118: where you are, what is locked, and what kind of property or vehicle we are coming to. For a car, the year, make and model matter, because a 2009 sedan and a 2023 push to start SUV need completely different equipment on the van. For a home or a business, it is worth saying whether the lock is jammed, the key snapped off inside, or the key is simply gone.
Our technician will confirm you have the right to access the property before any work starts. For a home that means photo identification and proof of ownership or tenancy. For a vehicle it means registration or title paperwork. That step is not us being difficult. It is the reason a locksmith can be trusted with your front door at two in the morning.

What Las Vegas Customers Say About Us
Locksmith Questions Las Vegas Customers Ask
Are you open 24 hours?
Yes. We take locksmith calls in Las Vegas 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, weekends and holidays included. Call (702) 213-9118 and a person picks up.
Is Shark City Locksmith Las Vegas licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a licensed and insured locksmith company working across the Las Vegas Valley, and our technicians carry identification on the job. You are welcome to ask to see it before any work begins.
Can you make a car key if I have lost every copy?
In most cases, yes. Our automotive technicians can originate a new key from the vehicle itself rather than from an existing key, then cut and program it on site, including transponder chip keys and push to start smart keys. Have the registration or title handy, since we verify ownership before a key gets made.
Do you come to me, or do I bring the lock to a shop?
We come to you. Shark City Locksmith Las Vegas is a mobile locksmith service, so the technician arrives with the tools, blanks and programming equipment already in the van, whether you are at home in Spring Valley, at a business in Henderson, or standing next to a locked car in a garage near the Strip.
Will opening my door damage the lock?
Most house and car lockouts are opened without damage to the lock or the door. Some situations, such as a high security cylinder or a lock that has already failed internally, may need drilling. The technician will tell you before that happens and explain what would need to be replaced.
Can you rekey my locks instead of replacing them?
Usually. Rekeying changes the pins inside the cylinder you already own so old keys stop working, which is the normal move after a purchase, a roommate change or a tenant turnover. If the hardware is worn, damaged or too old to be worth keeping, a lock change is the better call, and we will say which one applies once we see the door.
